Donald Trump: The Gift the Keeps on Giving
Mike O’Neil was interviewed for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart this week. (The show will run sometime during Stewart’s last week on the show Aug 3-6). It was an interesting experience. A large crowd of camera people, lighting techs, a producer, and interviewer comedian Al Madrigal.
These guys are serious! For what I assume will be a clip of a minute or two, they did a FOUR HOUR interview. I figure I was erudite and thoughtful for about 3 hours and 58 minutes. I have a pretty good idea which 2 minutes will air.
For the first half of this week’s show we take a look behind that curtain and discuss some of the things the audience never gets to see.
And Donald Trump.
Especially if you are a Democrat, The Donald is the Gift that Keeps on Giving. He is now a clear FIRST in Republican primary polls. Is his candidacy for real? Regardless, it certainly does have the character of a freeway automobile accident: we may think it is an awful wreck, but we somehow just can’t take our eyes off of it.
