Perspectives on Arizona History, Part 4 of 4

Historian Jack August

Jack August has written more books than anyone we know about significant historical figures from Arizona’s recent history.

That’s why we asked him to bat cleanup in our four-part series on recent Arizona history.

We review the last three week’s discussions with Arizona state historian Marshall Trimble, with power broker Dick Mallery, and with Governor Fife Symington, focusing and elaborating on some of the more interesting and provocative observations they made.

And we get Jack’s personal take on our recent history, the role of water management in our development (one of the things we have done best, says Jack) and other matters.
