John Shadegg: What’s Really Going on in DC
John Shadegg grew up around politics. His father, Steve Shadegg, was one of Barry Goldwater’s closest advisors. John served eight terms in Congress, swept into office in the “Gingrich revolution” of 1994. In 2006 years later he ran for a House Majority Leader. He was bested by John Boehner. (Whatever happened to John Boehner anyway?).
Shadegg is the sole guest in the Think Tank this week. Hear his insider views on the prospects for actual governing in Washington, the current state of the Republican Party, the chances someone will derail John McCain’s re-election, Presidential Politics, the status of once “hot button” issues like immigration and other issues.
This is one of the most astute political observers around. And he has been “inside the room” when decisions have been made.
